Leading up to Valentine's Day the theme of love is not far from our minds. But, on this night, our focus shifts from the romantic to that of self-love; love in the form of Celebrating The Queen.
During this night of song, poetry and storytelling, Mihi Matshingana will be telling the story of her journey towards self-love and recognising The Queen within her. This journey includes tears, insecurities, great failures and loss, but also joy, sisterhood, growth and indescribable victories.
Matshingana will be telling stories and paying tribute to her mother and other Queens (maybe also a King or two) who have and continue to inspire us to straighten our crowns, stand tall and celebrate The Queen within.
This night of celebration will feature original musical compositions and poetry, as well as music and poetry from Queens such as Maya Angelou, Busi Mhlongo, Laura Mvula, Alysia Harris, Thandi Ntuli and many others.
